Eventually, after 16 months of civilian service in a sheltered workshop, the time has come: moving to the big city!

In spring 1983 I started historical studies at the University of Hamburg – planned to be the basis of a journalistic career.

Comprehensible reasons: late choice of the final focus (Latin America), combined with intense spanish language teaching, in addition time consuming commercial occupations: fulltime (40 hours) for one year, 20 hours weekly for five years.
