In May 1981 I took my high-school diploma called »Abitur«. The arithmetical average – 2,9 means »satisfactory«, similar to »C« in the UK and USA – was achieved by good grades in liberal arts (German, English, History) and more or less adequate grades in sciences.

As a wanna-be journalist I left behind a respectable legacy: a range of well done school magazine editions (»Kneifzange«); many years I played an active apart in this project and for one year I was in charge.
